Welcome to the South of Lapland

We are pleased to offer round trips in the North of Sweden, a region called the South of Lapland. The round trips will allow you to get a taste of the north of Sweden and you will be visiting the following cities and towns; Umeå, Bjurholm, Lycksele, Malå and then back to Umeå again.
One of the most unique attractions you will experience is the Elk Museum in Bjurholm where you will encounter real elks and even be able to feed them with bananas, their favourite snack!
We offer two different round trips, where one includes two days of fishing for grayling, trout and pike with guides who have great knowledge of local fishing waters. The other includes for example river rafting with guide, bathing in outdoor wooden tubs and shopping in the biggest city in the north of Sweden, Umeå.

5 days Snowmobile Adventure in Lapland 2000/2001

Day 1

Arrival at Lycksele airport and private coach transfer to the Lapland Lodge based by the Ume River. Check-in to 4-bed chalets or 2 pax/room. The chalets are built in 1998/1999 and hold a very good standard! We are served a two-course dinner in the Lap tepee. Overnight at the Lapland Lodge.

Day 2

Breakfast Buffet in the Lap tepee and then we are equipped with thermal clothes. Following driving instructions in the morning, the snowmobile safari starts. We travel two people per snowmobile, and the driving is varied. Driving a snowmobile is easy and you will soon learn the technique. Your guide stops every so often and continually checks to see that all in the group are managing without problems. We are treated to lunch in Ekorrsele where we are welcomed inside a Long Hut and it’s warming fire, we enjoy local delicacies, and reflect on the experiences so far. After lunch we continue the safari and we travel towards the base camp, the Lapland Lodge in Lycksele. On arrival in Lycksele we have the opportunity to go dog sledding on prepared tracks on the snow. Dinner in the Lap tepee, one course. Overnight at the Lapland Lodge.

Day 3

Breakfast Buffet in the Lap tepee and checkout procedures. Luggage will be put in storage at the Lapland Lodge, during the safari you only need a towel, toothbrush and perhaps some warming extra socks or sweater. Snowmobile Safari whole day. Lunch in Falträsk, we are treated to a well-deserved lunch indoors. Here’s also a possibility to use the w.c. Continuing Snowmobile safari heading for Kattisavan. Dinner, one-course. Hopefully we can see the Northern Lights or ”Aurora Borealis” in Latin, if the night gets cold and clear. Overnight in Kattisavan, 4-bedded cabins where toilet & showers are in a nearby service building. Sauna is available at the camp.

Day 4

Breakfast in the Hut in Kattisavan and then continuing snowmobile safari whole day with the opportunity to try the skills of Ice fishing. In an old chapel in the wilderness we enjoy a warming lunch. Here’s also w.c available. Continued Snowmobile safari to Lycksele where a well-deserved and warm sauna wait before dinner. Gala Dinner in the Lap tepee, three-course as a grand finale of our days in Lapland. Overnight at the Lapland Lodge.

Day 5

Buffet Breakfast at the Lapland Lodge. Private coach transfer Lapland Lodge – Lycksele Airport.
